Empowering Maritime Excellence Through Standardized Competency Evaluation
EduRating is a mandatory competency assessment for foreign ratings (non-officer level seafarers) who intend to work on
Malaysian-flagged vessels, as stipulated under the rules and regulations of the
Malaysia Marine Department.
EduRating is developed and managed by Kumpulan Wang Pusat Perdagangan Laut(KWPPL) &
Mydeck Management Sdn Bhd (838817-A) as part of the initiative to
ensure standardized competency, compliance, and safety standards within the
maritime industry.
About EduRating
EduRating serves as an additional requirement supporting the application for a Certificate of Recognition (COR) and provides verified, accessible, and standardized online learning and assessment for non-officer seafarers.
Upon successful completion, course records will be reflected in the Seafarer
Documentation System (SDPX) in accordance with scheduled system updates.
Who Needs to Obtain the EduRating Certificate?
Foreign seafarer rating (non-officer level) who
intend to work on Malaysian-flagged vessels are required to successfully complete the EduRating course and obtain approval from the before applying for their Certificate of Recognition (COR).
This course is online based and available only to
registered users If it is found that a user is not properly registered, any certificate(s) issued will be cancelled and no refund will be granted.
