1. Who needs to take EduRating?

Siapa yang perlu mengambil EduRating?

EduRating is a mandatory requirement for foreign ratings (non-officer level seafarers)

who intend to work on Malaysian-flagged vessels, as stipulated by the rules and regulations
of the Malaysia Marine Department (MMD).

EduRating merupakan keperluan mandatori bagi pelaut asing peringkat rating (bukan pegawai)

yang ingin bekerja di kapal berdaftar Malaysia, selaras dengan peraturan dan ketetapan
yang ditetapkan oleh Jabatan Laut Malaysia (JLM).

2. Is EduRating recognized?

Adakah EduRating diiktiraf?

Yes. EduRating complies with the requirements and guidelines set by the Malaysia Marine Department (MMD).

Ya. EduRating mematuhi keperluan dan garis panduan yang ditetapkan oleh Jabatan Laut Malaysia (JLM).

3. How long is the EduRating certificate valid?

Berapa lama tempoh sah sijil EduRating?

The EduRating certificate is valid for one (1) year from the date of passing.

Sijil EduRating sah selama satu (1) tahun dari tarikh lulus.

4. Can I retake the EduRating assessment?

Bolehkah saya mengulang penilaian EduRating?

Candidates are allowed to attempt the assessment up to three (3) times only.

If a candidate fails all three (3) attempts, the candidate will be considered unsuccessful
and will not be issued a certificate. To proceed further, the candidate must re-enrol
in the course and make a new payment.

Calon dibenarkan menduduki penilaian sehingga tiga (3) kali sahaja.

Sekiranya calon gagal ketiga-tiga (3) percubaan, calon akan dianggap gagal dan tidak
akan diberikan sijil. Untuk meneruskan, calon perlu mengambil semula kursus
dan membuat bayaran baharu.

5. When will my result be uploaded?

Bilakah keputusan saya akan dimuat naik?

Results are updated in real time and reflected in the Seafarer Documentation System (SDPX).

Keputusan dikemas kini secara masa nyata dan akan dipaparkan dalam Sistem Dokumentasi Pelaut (SDPX).

6. How do I correct my passport number or SID?

Bagaimana saya membetulkan nombor pasport atau SID?

Please email the support team with your correction request, including the correct passport

details or Seafarers’ Identity Document (SID) information. Administrative charges may apply.

Sila emel kepada pasukan sokongan untuk permohonan pembetulan dengan menyertakan maklumat

pasport atau Dokumen Pengenalan Pelaut (SID) yang betul. Caj pentadbiran mungkin dikenakan.

7. How do I obtain my EduRating certificate?

Bagaimana saya mendapatkan sijil EduRating?

Upon passing, the EduRating certificate will be automatically generated in PDF format

with a QR code for verification purposes.

Selepas lulus, sijil EduRating akan dijana secara automatik dalam format PDF berserta

kod QR untuk tujuan pengesahan.

8. Do I need to print the certificate?

Perlukah saya mencetak sijil tersebut?

Yes. Candidates are required to print the EduRating certificate and bring the printed copy

to the Malaysia Marine Department (MMD) for official purposes.

Ya. Calon perlu mencetak sijil EduRating dan membawa salinan bercetak tersebut ke

Jabatan Laut Malaysia (JLM) untuk urusan rasmi.
